- Navigate to the Devices tab and click on the device you would like to wipe or lock
- Press the Actions button and select the action you’d like to execute: either Lock Device* or Wipe Device
- *Lock Device is only available for macOS devices. There is no equivalent for Windows devices, and we recommend proceeding with resetting the local account password or wiping the device if you need to restrict access to the device.
- Wipe and lock are only available for devices that are MDM-managed in Jamf or Intune and are not on Windows Home.
- Fill out the form, enter a Justification for historical documentation purposes, and press Submit
If you see a success popup and a new entry in the device history panel, that means the command was successfully sent to the MDM. It may take a few minutes to see the action take effect on the device.
