If your users are experiencing VPN connection issues after installing CrowdStrike Falcon, the root cause may be the Jamf firewall configuration profile. By default, it blocks all incoming connections, which can interfere with VPN apps unless explicitly allowed.
To resolve this:
- Sign into Jamf at https://YOUR_SUBDOMAIN.jamfcloud.com/
- If you do not have a Jamf account, please reach out to success@zipsec.com
- Using the left side navigation bar, go to Computers > Configuration Profiles
- Open the Jamf configuration profile named "Firewall Policy Automatically Set by Zip Security."
- Go to Security and Privacy > Firewall, then click Edit.
- Under the Firewall section, click Add.
- Search for your VPN app's name.
- Set the connection to "Allow".
- Save the profile and allow devices time to sync the changes.
